Terms of service

Celiacs in Europe operates as a DBA (“Doing Business As”) under Celiacs International LLC. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

Consultation Services

1. Nature of Services

Celiacs in Europe and our independent contractors provide personalized travel consultations and recommendations for gluten-free dining and accommodations based on publicly available information, personal experience, and client-provided details. Our services are intended for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical or legal advice.

2. Scope of Services

Each consultation is limited to the specific service level selected—Economy, Business, or First Class—and includes only the deliverables outlined for that tier. Consultants are responsible solely for providing support and recommendations within the scope of the purchased consultation and for the country in which they are designated as an expert. Requests for additional assistance, follow-up, or information about other destinations fall outside the scope of the booked service.

3. Booking & Payment

  • Consultations may be booked up to 14 days in advance and no later than 24 hours before the scheduled time.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Consultation options are as follows:
    • Economy: 30-minute video call
    • Business: 60-minute video call, follow-up notes, and assistance with up to 3 restaurant reservations (reservation assistance not available in the UK)
    • First Class: 60-minute video call, follow-up notes, one additional email exchange (within reason), and assistance with up to 5 restaurant reservations (reservation assistance not available in the UK)

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans may change. Refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • 48+ hours before the scheduled consultation → Full refund
  • 24–48 hours before the scheduled consultation → 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation → No refund

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

5. No-Show & Rescheduling Policy

  • A client is considered a no-show if they do not join the Google Meet call within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time. No-shows are non-refundable but may reschedule once for a 50% rebooking fee.
  • Clients may reschedule once for free with at least 24 hours’ notice. Any additional reschedules will incur a rebooking fee.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and joining the meeting on time.

6. Consultation Expectations

Consultations are conducted via Google Meet. Depending on the consultation tier booked, clients may receive follow-up notes and assistance with restaurant reservations. Consultants are not obligated to provide services beyond what is included in the purchased consultation. Requests for additional support may require booking another session.

7. No Guarantee of Safety

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date guidance, we cannot guarantee a completely risk-free gluten-free experience. Cross-contact, ingredient changes, and staff knowledge can vary at any establishment. It is the client’s responsibility to verify all information and confirm that any food consumed meets their dietary needs.

8. Personal Responsibility

Clients are responsible for communicating their dietary restrictions to restaurants, hotels, and other service providers. Celiacs in Europe and our independent contractors are not responsible for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or other negative experience that may occur during travel.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Celiacs in Europe and our independent contractors disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services. This includes but is not limited to illness, injury, travel disruptions, or dissatisfaction with recommendations.

10. Changes to Information

The gluten-free status of restaurants and other establishments can change without notice. We do our best to provide current information but cannot be held liable for inaccuracies or outdated recommendations. Clients should always confirm details directly with the establishment before dining.

11. No Medical Advice

Our services are not a substitute for medical advice. Clients should consult a healthcare provider before making dietary decisions or traveling with medical conditions.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a consultation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. Celiacs in Europe reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.

In-Person Experiences (Food Tours, Cooking Classes, and Other On-Site Activities)

By booking or participating in an in-person experience offered by Celiacs in Europe, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Nature of Services

Celiacs in Europe and our independent contractors offer curated in-person experiences such as food tours, cooking classes, and other on-site activities. These experiences are intended for informational and recreational purposes and may include visits to third-party restaurants, cafés, markets, or other establishments. All food and services provided during an experience are the responsibility of the individual businesses visited.

2. Scope of Services

Each experience is limited to the itinerary and inclusions described at the time of booking. Adjustments, add-ons, or customizations may not be available unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. Experiences do not include transportation to or from meeting points unless specified.

3. Dietary Needs and Personal Responsibility

We partner with establishments that demonstrate an understanding of gluten-free and celiac needs, but we cannot guarantee the actions, ingredient handling, or safety practices of any third-party provider.
Participants are responsible for communicating their dietary restrictions to both the guide and any establishments visited and for determining whether they feel comfortable consuming any food or beverage offered. Participation in any food-related activity is voluntary.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Celiacs in Europe and our independent contractors disclaim all liability for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, loss, or damage arising from participation in an in-person experience. This includes but is not limited to food-related reactions, accidents, environmental conditions, or the actions or omissions of third-party establishments.

5. Physical Requirements

In-person experiences may involve walking, standing, navigating uneven surfaces, or exposure to outdoor conditions. By participating, clients confirm that they are physically able to take part and accept any inherent risks associated with moving through public spaces.

6. Itinerary Changes

We may modify the itinerary due to weather, closures, partner availability, operational issues, or other circumstances outside our control. When substitutions are necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternatives of comparable quality, but we cannot guarantee specific stops or activities.

7. Photography and Media

Photos or general content may be taken during an experience for marketing or documentation purposes. Participants who prefer not to appear in photos should notify the guide at the start of the experience.

8. Minors

Minors may attend only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the minor’s participation, conduct, and safety.

9. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Policy for In-Person Experiences

By booking an in-person experience through Celiacs in Europe, you acknowledge and agree to the following cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms. These policies are necessary due to the limited availability, advance preparation, and coordination required for in-person experiences.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

Rescheduling

  • Guests may reschedule their experience free of charge if the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the experience start time are not guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.

No Shows and Late Arrivals

  • Failure to arrive at the designated meeting point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time will be considered a no show.

  • The experience will begin on time, and we are unable to wait for late arrivals.

  • No shows and late arrivals are non-refundable and not eligible for rescheduling.

Other Circumstances

  • In the event that an experience must be canceled by the provider due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

  • All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email or through the booking platform.

These policies help ensure fairness for both our guests and the local providers who dedicate time and resources to delivering high-quality experiences.

10. Acceptance of Terms
