Meet Your Guide...
Ciao, I'm Alessia! 👋🏼
After more than 20 years working in tourism and international travel partnerships, I decided to dedicate my experience to something meaningful; creating safe and authentic culinary experiences for gluten-free travelers in Rome.
Although I’m not celiac myself, my husband, my best friend, and many of my close friends and guests are, and I’ve seen how difficult it can be to travel and enjoy local food safely. That’s why I decided to build a bridge between Italy’s incredible food culture and the celiac community, making sure everyone can experience Rome through its flavors... without gluten, but with all the taste.

Yes! Alessia selects each stop thoughtfully and keeps track of menu changes. All of our stops are either 100% gluten free establishments or accredited by the AIC (Italian Celiac Association).
Where does the tour stop?
The exact lineup of food stops is kept a surprise, since part of the fun is discovering new places along the way :) As you move between tastings, you’ll also pass by some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks, including Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Campo de’ Fiori, which adds an extra layer of beauty and history to the experience.
What types of food will I get to try?
You’ll enjoy a variety of sweet and savory tastings that highlight Rome’s rich gluten free food scene. Dishes often include favorites like gluten free pizza al taglio, supplì, artisanal gelato, and tiramisu, along with a chance to experience a bit of Italian coffee culture. The tour runs rain or shine! Rome can be beautiful in the rain, and most tastings take place indoors. We recommend bringing an umbrella or light rain jacket if the forecast calls for showers.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. A small bag for personal items and a refillable water bottle is all you need. If you’re visiting in summer, sunscreen and a hat can be helpful.
